About Chipset Driver:

Windows OS automatically installs a generic driver that allows computers to recognize basic motherboard functions. However, to make use of all board components, appropriate chipset drivers must be applied.
If you install this package, the system will receive related information regarding the chipset. Also, this step might improve compatibility and bus transfer speeds, add various changes for sleep state behavior, power saving functionality and others, or include support for new features.
To apply this release, simply make sure your system configuration is supported by this package, get the file, run the available setup, and follow the on-screen instructions. Bear in mind that installing inappropriate chipset drivers can cause computers to malfunction.
In addition to that, do perform a system restart after you have completely applied the present release so that all changes take effect. Despite the off-chance that other OSes might be compatible, we do not recommend installing any software on platforms other than the highlighted ones.
That being said, check the supported platforms, click the download button and apply the chipset driver. Moreover, don’t forget to check with our website as often as possible to stay up to date with the latest releases.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver.
Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

Hello.
I have a question about some Intel(R) specific drivers...
After building new PC I had some problems with Windows versions and gaming performance so I was forced to reformat my PC many times (problem was just wrong Windows version installed, problems solved now).
I was always using DriverEasy software to update some Intel(R) drivers and I've noticed that after updating some of them, Youtube videos quality drastically improves by being less blurry at 1080p quality and text font quality got improved too (some sort of antialiasing effect I've noticed, noticable at larger font sizes). Sadly, I've already forgotten which driver done that.
But before my latest PC formatting, I've read opinions about DriverEasy that got me worried... 99,99% of opinions that this tool is a dangerous bloatware and it can install wrong driver for You so I've didn't updated anything with this tool right now.
So I've only updated my drivers from hardware components CD discs and then latest ones from official websites (AsRock, Nvidia, AOC), tried Intel update tool too but it didn't found anything to update.
I have AssRock Fatal1ty B250 Gaming K4 motherboard, Intel i5 7500 and GTX 1060 6GB. Windows 10 Pro x64
The drivers which I was updating and seen quality improvement mentioned already after that are:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200/1500 v5/6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) PCIe Controller (x16) - 1901
Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 - 1200 v6/7th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) Host Bridge/DRAM Registers - 591F
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port #5 - A294
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port #9 - A298
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family LPC Controller (B250) - A2C8
Intel(R) 200 Series Chipset Family PMC - A2A1
I have version 10.1.1.38 of every of those listed drivers
The new version up to date is 10.1.1.40
So...
Is it safe to update those drivers?
Could I break anything by installing it from DriverEasy?
Can't find anything precise about them in googles.
The graphics quality improvement is welcome, but I'm worried about PC safety too...
Thanks.
