Problem-Oriented Policing was originally published in 1990 to widespread acclaim. After several years out of print, this ground-breaking book was republished in August 2015 due to it's continued relevancy and importance.
The 2000 Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Conference Winners of the 2000 Herman Goldstein Award for excellence in POP will present their acclaimed projects at the 11th International Conference on Problem-Oriented Policing, held December 2–5, 2000, in San Diego, California. Goldstein’s notion of problem-oriented policing, however, was not designed to provide agencies with specific ways of handling problems. Indeed, Goldstein rejected such one-size fits all tactics that had been typical in the “standard model of policing.”.
